About Spark Hope for Kids

Spark Hope for Kids

Spark Hope for Kids is a special project dedicated to empowering racialized parents with tips, strategies, and resources to build their child’s self-esteem, support both academic and socio-emotional learning, and nurture cultural identity with pride. Through these, the aim is to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported and has the opportunity to thrive.

As our world grows more diverse, so do the challenges: systemic bias, academic pressures, social integration, and a lack of cultural representation and understanding in schools are just some of the barriers.

✨ Join us as we share actionable insights, resources, and strategies to help families of racialized communities. Together, we can uplift diversity, foster understanding, and ensure all children receive the support they need to succeed.

🌟 Let's work together to make a difference in the lives of our students and build a brighter future for all. Like our page, and share with your friends.

Orange Shirt Day - Every Child Matters

"The annual Orange Shirt Day on September 30th opens the door to global conversation on all aspects of Residential Schools. It is an opportunity to create meaningful discussion about the effects of Residential Schools and the legacy they have left behind...

A day for survivors to be reaffirmed that they matter, and so do those that have been affected. Every Child Matters, even if they are an adult, from now on...

The date was chosen because it is the time of year in which children were taken from their homes to residential schools, and because it is an opportunity to set the stage for anti-racism and anti-bullying policies for the coming school year. It is an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come."
