Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m Amanda Edwin, the voice behind "Bridging Worlds: Insights on Life, Education, and Diversity". I’m an island girl at heart, and the beach is my happy place. When I'm not soaking up the sun, you'll find me teaching, writing, providing notary public services, volunteering in my community or planning my next travel adventure.
Growing up, I was deeply inspired by my mother, who tirelessly advocated for her community. This passion for empowerment carried over into my career as a teacher, where I dedicated myself to uplifting the children under my care. Through their stories, I learned the power of self-belief and daily affirmations, witnessing firsthand how these practices can transform lives.
As an immigrant and a racialized woman, I’ve faced my share of challenges—from job loss to the struggle to forging my own path. These experiences, while tough, have fueled my commitment to advocating for resilience, empowerment, and growth of racialized families in my community.
Join me as I explore life, share stories, and offer insights on education, empowerment, and diversity. Let’s connect, inspire, and support each other along the way. You can follow me on social media through the links below and don't forget to check out my Etsy store and Amazon bookshelf. I look forward to getting to know you!
In this episode of the series, Empowering Teachers For Success, we are taking a closer look at students and how they perceive their successes or failures, the impact on the mental and emotional well-being, and how this information can affect education reform. This episode's guest is Dawsher Charles, Founder and Managing Director of Survival Scholars.
Spark Hope for Kids is a special project dedicated to empowering racialized parents with tips, strategies, and resources to build their child’s self-esteem, support both academic and socio-emotional learning, and nurture cultural identity with pride. Through these, the aim is to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported and has the opportunity to thrive.
As our world grows more diverse, so do the challenges: systemic bias, academic pressures, social integration, and a lack of cultural representation and understanding in schools are just some of the barriers.
✨ Join us as we share actionable insights, resources, and strategies to help families of racialized communities. Together, we can uplift diversity, foster understanding, and ensure all children receive the support they need to succeed.
